Now, before I continue, I must put out my disclaimer:
Yes, I love my husband.
Yes, I love spending time with my husband.
Yes, I'm glad that I have a husband genuinely interested in my hobbies.
Yes, I love spending time with my husband.
Yes, I'm glad that I have a husband genuinely interested in my hobbies.
BUT............................
Does he HAVE to look over my shoulder when I'm blogging, checking email, reading a book, or designing?
I know (and he knows and now Y'ALL know) that I have absolutely nothing to hide. But, I still like my privacy. Maybe I'm just weird like that, but I really don't think so. This is MY TIME!!!!
I mean, is it really too much to ask that I be able to sit on the couch, laptop on my lap (yes, I'm literal like that), and spend time being nosy about the lives of others????? I'M supposed to be the nosy one -- that's why I like blogging so much.
What's he so worried about that he's got to try to "Be All Up In My Bidnezz?" (insert diva-liscious zig-zag head shake here)
Oh no -- I think I just got some insight as to why the Little Lady is such a Diva.
(blushing and running of to hide now)

Oh my, I can so see him doing this!!!
HAH!!
Now we're getin down to it..open the flood gates...
;-)
Too funny! I hate it when my hubby does the same thing. I mean, he reads my blog, so he knows exactly what's on it, but still, we divas need our privacy!
my husband does the same thing and although i love how interested he is, it's my time! :)
I'm the same way. I can't stand for someone to be reading over my shoulder. I'll be glad to let them have a turn when I am done, but when I'm doing something, just leave me alone.
Snap girl! I know exactly what you are talking about... lol, except my four boys also join in the fun. "Alone time" around here is a very fictional and funny statement. There are degrees of company... but thats about it. :) Thanks for the laugh.
oh, yeah, i totally had the zigzag head thing goin on, yo'
my hubby does the same thing and it make me mental too. I find it hard to think when I'm being watched :) I should send him over to read this post!
Oh, I am so happy to hear that I am not the only who who gets annoyed at hubbie when he does this to me! It actually really ticks me off!!
I don't have a laptop, so I always feel I have an audience of 4 always watching me on the computer, irks me too!
i see your point. i would be kindly upset too if my dh was hanging over my shoulder too!
Oh dear, mine does the same darn thing. Drives me INSANE. Always asking what is that? Who is that? Why can't he go surfing on his own computer instead of over my shoulder!?
I think my kids are related to your husband.
Hubby's pretty good about things like that with me but on the occasion he's interested in a post I am doing, he sits and watches me type it. Talk about nerve racking. I have a hard enough time writing by myself let alone someone checking it as I go. I tell him to wait until I am through OR I always pull the, "Oh, Honey, could you bath the kids, change the diaper, feed them a snack.." routine. LOL!
I hate when people read over my shoulder too.
I hate that! My husband hovers around while I'm typing in my blog post and I usually end up staring him down until he leaves the room:)
Haha! Mine does that once in a while and it does bother me. I'm not trying to hide anything either, but it's like a total invasion. I try not to flip out on him cause it's rare that he gets to spend time with us and I love him being around.
...And this is why I do most of my work late at night when everyone's asleep. Hence, the nickname: "Insom-MOM-niac," because -- ya' know -- sleep is for (nosy) Daddies. Ha ha. :) Great post. Made me smile. Thanks!

That is so funny. I told my husband about looking over my shoulder too. Why do they do that?
Ugh, mom does that too sometimes. Drives me nuts!!
And now that Isaak can read, he tried to do it too. Gaahhh!!
Too funny! I have the same problem here! He's so darn nosy.
You've been tagged. See HERE for details!

LOL. I peer over my DHs shoulder all the time as he blogs. It annoys him!!!
BTW, you have an award:

you forgot the snaps. you can't do the zig zag head move without the finger snaps!
but i do know what you mean. sometimes i have days when i wish my friends and family didn't read my blog so i could write about all the things that really set me off. fortunately the hub could care less about my blogging. woo hoo!
No, you are not alone. I hate the over the shoulder readers. Around here, there are five of them, and a couple of them don't even read yet. I'm this close to swatting them all on the nose with a newspaper.
LOL! My husband doesn't read over my shoulder but my 3rd grader does!
I tagged you!
I Tagged you!
I hear ya! I can't STAND when anyone looks at my screen. Even when that someone is my wife - who is, quite simply, my favorite person on the planet. I just don't like having anyone's eyes but my own on my screen and on my words.
Nicely put.
I've posted my WW contribution here, and hope you can pop by for a look soon - and hopefully share a Thematic Photographic picture, too! http://tinyurl.com/5hzlp7
That's so annoying! It's bad enough when my 10 year old does it, but when he does it, it bothers me. There's something on our blog for you.
OMG that is hysterical! LOL!
And, yes, I'm sick of pumpkins!
My sister is visiting Houston this week. (moving there actually very soon!) Heard it's cold...lol.
You poor things down south! WE got alittle snow this morning in Cleveland
Oh, too funny. That would bug me, too!
Steph
I smell what you're stepping in big chicken! :-)
Oh my word! I know what you mean!! My hubby is all up in my bidness. I can get so much more done when he isn't here:) sssshhhh don't tell him though!
