PSF -- Cruel & Unusual Punishment

PhotoStory Friday
Hosted by Cecily and MamaGeek

I must be the worst Mommy in the world. My crime? I take pictures of my daughter.

And. SHE. HATES. IT!!!!!!!!!!!

This week, after arriving back in Houston, I decided to take pictures of the Little Lady in her new outfits, in order to share her cuteness with her grandparents.

How DARE I subject my daughter to such a stressful afternoon? Unbelievable.

Things started innocently enough with the first outfit. She loved the soft jacket and the hair bows. All was still right with the world.

With the next outfit, however, things began to change. Hair bows were no longer cool. This should have been a sign -- I should have realized the inevitable outcome.

The Little Rat is smart, and she played her next move very coolly -- passively pretending that she was on board with the photo-shoot. Oh, she's good!

Photobucket

Then all HECK broke loose!!!! Clothing was no longer cute, nothing was cool (except belly buttons), and there was nothing that would make her smile. She was winning, but I was determined to finish what I'd started. Silly Mommy.

In a desperate attempt, she tried to get away. Her only mistake? Forgetting that I'm as tall as the average British Male, which is definitely taller and more powerful than she is.

The last outfit. And, it was not a cute moment. Sigh. I tried.

Her outfits are adorable... little bit jealous right now... girls are so much fun to dress!!

Up until those last 2 pics I was like "what is she talking about! that's not a 'my mommy is mean!' face." But at the end, I have to agree. Our kids have been talking. Mommies who take pictures must be mean.

Well, she may not like having her picture taken, but she's just going to have to get over it -- because it's going to happen to her a lot. She's adorable.
Nice shots!

What a little doll!

Isn't it funny how little ones LOVE to see themselves in pictures but HATE to have pictures taken? It must be in the toddler code somewhere that until a certain age one cannot be more than mildly uncooperative at a photo shoot. Enjoy and smile...ha...the other toddlers would through the book at me.

CUTE pictures!!! She is adorable and I do love the expressions on her face :-) I was just in Gymboree this week so I recognize all those outfits - I bought the cupcake one for my daughter too!

HaHaHa! Reminds me of my attempts to get pictures! Love the Gymboree outfits...yes, I recognize the "new" line. I'm drooling over the "scotty dogs"...since your daughter looks so darn cute in them, I now have to go buy the outfit for my daughters. Matching outfits.

Thanks...somehow this post just cost me big bucks! LOL

She did cooperate with you for most of the shots. She is clear about what she likes and dislikes. Sweet one. :)

That is a great PSF! Your daughter is so cute...even with a scrunchy mad face.

Such a valiant effort on your part though! Ladybug doesn't want me to take pics of her anymore either. I don't know what (other than the 11,742 I already have) makes her so annoyed with picture taking. All I get now is the back of her head...as she runs away.

I am very familiar with these type of photo shoots. I only wish I was as tall as your average British male. Sigh.
