I've turned into THAT woman!

Dear, Hubby --

What's wrong with this picture?

Photobucket

Well, aside from the obvious focus, color, and crooked star issues????

Did you say that the "wrong factor" lies in the fact that it is a picture of a CHRISTMAS TREE??? In FEBRUARY???

Woo hoo! You win!

And, I lose.

Yes, we still have our Christmas trees up . . .in the middle of February. In case you haven't noticed, this is NOT the norm for most people.

But, it is not my fault. Even though I am a Christmas-fanatic, I am not so in love with that most festive of seasons that I leave my decor up year round.

Oh no -- normally, I have things promptly put away on the 1st of January. It's tradition.

Somehow, tradition went out the window this year. I blame you.

Now, I realize that I can't blame you for all bad things that happen around here, but you totally gets the blame for my decorations still being out and about.

You see -- you, a "manly man", REFUSE to climb up into the attic and bring down all of my boxes.

Refuse.

But, your Mama and my own Mama have REFUSED to give me permission to climb up there myself.

"You do not have any business up there in your condition," they have told me.

(I have to admit -- it is kind of nice to be able to use "my condition" to throw work your way.)

So, Hubby -- if you're reading today . . . ummmm . . . can we PLEASE put stuff away this weekend? I'd hate to have to call your Mama again -- but I will. Consider that threat now out there.

Love, Your Wife.

P.S. Happy 35th Birthday!!!!!!!!!!

LOL I've totally been there! Our first Christmas together, our tree was up until March. My husband took it down only because I was coming home on spring break and he had ordered us a dining room table for our apartment.

I hate to say it, but get used to things not being done because of your "condition." That's why when I was in the same similar situation I'd wait until my husband was away at drill to do things. It gave me one weekend a month to be normal and not get yelled at for getting things done that had been neglected.

Ha!

I remember a February 4 years ago when I was "in your condition" and still had a lovely Christmas tree up in my living room! :)

I love how you threaten to tell on him and then wish him a happy birthday! You make me laugh!

Perhaps you can just let it stand and save yourself a lot of trouble next year.

Went to prayer group Tues. and the hostess still had her tree up and lit (no decorations). The box bit the dust and she was waiting for plastic tree box she ordered to be delivered so she could box the tree and get it to the attic.

I totally understand, but . . .

Y'all, it's just time. It just is.

OR you could tough it out a few more months and save yourselves some trouble next December.

I remember March 2005 and my tree still up LOL I went to hospital on 13 and give birth on 14 and after that Hubby ran home to take that tree down LOL

Oh the condition times LOL

Well, climbing is probably not a good idea. So I'll agree with the moms. But I found that if I waited around for stuff to get done for me because of my "condition", it wouldn't get done at all. Maybe you could take down the decorations and pile them somewhere they can't be forgotten, like his side of the bed. ;)

Awesome! We left our tree up until February one year & joked that it would become a Valentine's Day tree!

Don't feel too bad - our Christmas tree finally landed on the curb about a week and a half ago. I love putting Christmas up and LOATHE taking it down!

I feel for you. Ours was taken down in mid-January but ONLY because we had company coming, otherwise it may still be up! lol

Oh, how funny! lol! Now tell him to get his ass up into the attic.

btw, I still have our lighted reindeer in my front yard. They are frozen (the poles sticking them in the ground). lol - oh, we don't put the lights on though.

Okay, Now tell him to get his ass up into the attic.

Tell that man to get his ass up there NOW! (or just get a bunch of red heart ornaments and call it a Valentine's Tree - that might be easier)

I say just push on thru the year. If it looks god, leave it.

Just kidding.

Kick his butt. Make him take it down.

LOL!!!! Love the star!

We are only halfway through taking our decorations down. The tree was live, so it was nearly a fire hazard, which is really the only reason it is down.

I have this beautiful garland with lights that sits on top and falls to either side of our entertainment center and it is so lovely that I just can't seem to get rid of it. Problem? I'm having a huge party here on March 10. I guess I have nearly a month to take care of it. But, I'll tell you right now that I will be sad when I do. I love me some fun decorations :). Already wish it were Christmas again!

Happy Valentine's Day! Hope all is going well with the pregnancy :).

Too funny!! I hope that he got the message this time.

If not just change your decorations to celebrate St. Patricks Day. :)

Oh, I so know your pain! We finally got all of our decorations down in mid January (late for us). Better tell that hubby to "step up" his game! LOL

Hope your pregnancy is going well!

I totally feel your pain! Our tree just came down last weekend & that was after me constantly nagging to my husband.

I don't have a condition to blame our delay on either. Well, I can't go in the attic because if I do try, I will fall ... heights aren't good for me at all. My dear friend, Jerrie, (who sent me the link to this post) did offer to get the boxes if my husband didn't get them down. I think that finally motivated him to take care of business. Whew!

:)

I had to go look at the date. I was thinking "she hasn't posted since December??" LOL

OMG! We have that same star on our tree, and it is ALWAYS crooked! Maybe it's the star. I know that's not the point of this blog, but it was uncanny when I saw it!

The pear is lovely.

Don't feel bad. One year my mother just took the decorations down and put up Valentine hearts. It was nice in a strange sort of way...
