Um -- Who Said He Could Take Over?

My pelvis is no longer my own.

And, it's just not fair.

The fun scan last week showed that "the boy" is head down -- head and little fists right down above my pelvis. And, judging from the punches and head-butting going on, he has claimed that space as HIS and no one else's.

If I wear low rise pants . . . .I get punched in the pelvis.

If I lean over while in a sitting position . . . I get punched in the pelvis.

If the Little Lady sits on my thighs and rests against me . . . I get punched in the pelvis.

WHO DOES HE THINK HE IS????
A WWE PRIZE FIGHTER?

Punch Pictures, Images and Photos

This tot has only been around for 5 months and he already thinks he can be the boss of ME?????

And, why the need for such violence? I'm just the mom . . . the incubator . . . the person who made him AND the chick making sure he gets all of the nutrients, water, and Dr. Pepper he needs. Why the rough treatment?

Sigh.

It's only going to get worse, isn't it?

Hahaha...I had a chuckle when I read this - must be something about this batch of babies....hubby and I have dubbed ours "ninja fetus" (I'm about a month further along than you) because no matter what position I sit/stand/lie in, the little one uses me as a punching bag. it's actually taken to punching me in the pelvis while kicking me in the diaphragm...good times :)

My son once kicked me so hard I swear I could hear it.

and the funny thing is, he'll come out being the most loving son ever. :)

Umm, yeah, I hate to tell you this, but it will get worse...like you didn't know that. I remember being pregnant with our son, and he would head butt my cervix, and I would almost fall to the floor in pain. So much fun!!!

When I was pregnant with Jonathan he did the same thing from like five months on. He kept punching my bladder. It killed. When he got bigger it was my ribs. I'd heard the stories, but not until I had a foot stuck up under my rib did I believe how painful it could be. No, I didn't believe. I knew!

Sadly, yes, it gets worse. Just wait until he's long enough to hit you in the ribs and pelvis at the same time. You'll forget it all when you see your beautiful baby though. I think it's nature's way of ensuring we have more.

I have a good guess as to what is causing this dissatisfaction of my nephew. Trust me, I know these things. I think he has "heard" Ellie speak of this amazing, creative, and well....the most amazing cake-decorating aunt but has never actually gotten to "experience" her yet. I think I know a solution....

You bet your baby bump it's gonna get worse! Owen kicked me with every single move I made! The kid was ridiculous. Sometimes I just wanted to reach in there and pull him out, just so I could be sure my ribs would go un-bruised.

And..he hasn't stopped kicking me YET and he's 18mo. old. *Sigh*

oh how I miss those rat a tat tats!

I'd love to say it gets easier, but it doesn't. Just wait till he starts pressing on your bladder, or wedging his feet in to your rib cage. It's best to be prepared. ;)

I'm laughing at another poster's "ninja fetus" nickname. We jokingly refer to Hunter as our "Little Ninja" becuz of the low belly jabs (not to mention the hard upper belly kicks, one of which that actually made my entire boob rise up and off my belly for a split second!). LOL

LOL that was great! I had one of those babies 13 years ago. And I still remember getting kicked int he ribs time and time again. I could have sworn she was breaking them. LOL

uhg. I feel for you. When I was late in the pregnancy with The Babe I felt like my pelvic area was going to break...I visited a chiropractor a few times and it did the trick! (not everyone is comfy doing that but I am:)

The kicking is crazy, isn't it? I used to get a lot of elbows and knees, too...

Ugh. I'm so sorry for that pain.

I never experienced the pelvic punches. Delia was a fan of bruising my ribs. Kids. Sheesh.

It does get worse but TOTALLY ALL worth it! :) My youngest kicked like a crazy person. He would kick me in the ribs and I couldn't breath. My oldest never kicked and I was always scared!

Oh The Memories of being kicked all over..But just wait until Mr.Wrestler comes into the world..The sweet cuddles.

Kris said...

Yes LOL it will get worse. But you'll forget all about it once he's here.

Miss Calleigh has taken up residence in my pelvis as well. It's getting old and I keep trying to bribe her to move up.

Sorry to say, yes it will get worse and it may not get better... ever. My bladder will never be the same. Just sit down and cross your legs before you laugh.

hope you are well...

I just got over being pregnant. I can so relate, except now she controls me from the outside. THanks for the laugh!

Uh oh. You're in trouble. All that testosterone raging around already! ;-)

My DD#1 head butted my cervix. Those were fun times. She was a big baby (9.3) and didn't have a whole lot of room in there.

My DD#2 jumped and moved around a lot. She's almost 4 now and she still bounces all over the place.

My youngest was a tummy sleeper in utero. I could totally see her little bottom poking out of my belly. Four years later, she still sleeps on her tummy.

I truly believe they develop their personalities in utero.
