Cankles, Heartburn, and Weddings . . . OH, MY!

The past two weeks feel as though they have been the busiest, craziest, and longest two weeks EVER!

It all started with my youngest sister's wedding. That's right -- "That Girl" (aka "That Engaged Girl") got married. It was beautiful, tiring, stressfull . . . and I didn't even really do anything.

Apparently, in my family, being pregnant gives you an automatic "Get Out of Wedding Duties Free" card. Unfortunately, for my Hubby, he had to take up the slack.

My mom made him her personal assistant, to be called upon for all heavy-duty decorating/setting up jobs. Thankfully, my husband and mother have a great relationship . . . which means he doesn't mind being ordered around and not thanked for a couple of days. (although, he doesn't appreciate it when I try it! Hmmmm -- I need to learn what my mom's secret is.)

The Little Lady was one of the flower girls and, in my humble opinion, was freaking A.D.O.R.A.B.L.E!!!!

(ignore my crazy, big, pale face (without a neck, apparently) in this picture; I have NO idea what was going on)

The poor thing was exhausted though; we barely got her to walk down the aisle and she crashed the minute it was all over.

Not that I blame her. If only I could have convinced someone to hold my big ol' pregnant self while I napped . . .

Oh, yeah, speaking of being pregnant -- the cankles and heartburn. So, I've entered a new phase in this pregnancy. Feet swelling . . . ankles puffy . . . heartburn that lasts for HOURS. Ugh and ugh again, I say.

The good news is that I have less than 100 days left . . . and only 3 days until the 3rd trimester starts. The bad news . . . this is the part of the journey where everything gets worse.

Yay for me!

On a side note -- is anyone else slightly creeped out by the floating baby in my little count-down widget? Is it just me? Yeah? Ok.

Yes, the baby is kinda creepy. Wow. 100 days. I never thought about it in days before. It would make it seem soooooo much longer to me. At least it did when I was pregnant with Jonathan. For what it is worth, you look great. Glad the wedding went well and the Little Lady did well and was able to get a nap.

Congratulations to your sister!!

Your little one looks adorable and I am so impressed that she just decided to fall asleep rather than fight it and be a cranky pants like my kids would have done. What a nice thing for her to do!

As for cankles and heartburn, I'm sorry! If it makes you feel any better, I think you look great in that pic!

LOL. No, not creeped out. ha!

The little lady looks adorable! And you look beautiful too!

I had heartburn from heck when I was PG. My midwife recommended I take Zantac 75. It was SO helpful! Go get some! As for the cankles (don't miss that), unfortunately, just like I was, you have your 3 trimester in the summer. Ick. I found I had the least swelling when I walked twice a day and drank a lot of water. The more I sat still, the worse the swelling was. The less water I drank, the more I retained. It's weird -- I know. I also bought a kiddie pool and soaked my feet in cold water after work.

Congrats on less than 100 days!!

Awwww, she was an adorable flower girl! I agree. I wish someone would hold me like that now and then so I could nap.

With summer and hot weather coming, make sure you rest when you can with your feet up, and drink plenty of water. You look great for being 3rd trimester bound!

Did mom order Curt around THAT much? Goodness. Well, that might explain why I rarely saw him. Poor man! Now I feel really bad :(

Those pics of Ellie are so cute! And you did so do stuff. You made two baskets and you had your hands full with Ellie!
