She's ALIVE!

FINALLY, I'm getting around to writing here . . . and thinking (just a bit -- don't want to wear myself out or anything). I have to admit, I'm a little boggled by life right now.

What happened to the blogger who once faithfully wrote and posted each and every day?

What happened to the woman who cleaned her house and cooked each meal?

What happened to the Mommy who looked forward to craft time with her daughter?

The answer to each question: "Um . . . . she's a little tired and very unmotivated right now."

* * * * * * * *

So many women (and books) told me that, once the second trimester hit, I would feel like a new person: renewed energy, renewed sex drive, and a renewed outlook on life.

Um . . . . I'm less than 30 days from the start of the 3rd trimester and absolutely NOTHING has renewed itself over the past two and a half months.

I feel like such a worn-out loser. Through out the day, I have enough energy to get the Little Lady out of her "Big Girl Bed" (more on that later), fix a few measly snacks and meals, and read "Brown Bear, Brown Bear" twenty times.

That's IT.

Ok, yeah, so I'm growing a whole other person . . . but STILL! I talk to and see other pregnant women who seem to have an overabundance of energy and drive. Me? Definitely not so much.

It's not like I just lay around, wasted and exhausted -- I don't. I'm not lethargic . . . just "un-energetic." I promise there's a difference!

So, anyway, so much for the glorious, golden 2nd trimester. I guess it's only fair since I never had morning sickness or any of the other nasty 1st trimester woes.

I'll stop complaining now. :)

With my first pregnancy the 2nd trimester was exactly as you described it, I had energy, a sex drive, etc etc and I could not wait for the 2nd tri to hit this time, and now that I'm 1.5 months away from the 3rd tri I can say its not coming back! LOL I think having a toddler has ALOT to do with it!

It's totally the having an older child thing!

My second tri with #1 was loads different than #2 and now this one.

I was an unmotivated, puffy lump from day one to the day my kids were born. I am the worst, non glowy pregnant person ever. I feel your pain.

I hope you feel better soon though...I have total faith you are tougher than I EVER was!! :)

I'm glad to see you. :)

Yeah, I napped throughout my pregnancy, but I did feel better during my 3rd trimester.

I was wondering how you were doing, and hoping you were okay.

I was very very tired with my second. I think part of that is having to deal with the first child, and having no choice in the matter. Sucks the energy right outta you.

Try get the rest in now, because once that baby comes, there's time for rest!

One thing that saved me when my DD#2 cam along, I scheduled all 3 of us to nap at the same time in the afternoon. It helped tremendously and made a huge difference for me.

With that baby boy strait down, it's no wonder that you're tired. That's alot of pressure!! It's all worth it though. I suppose that I just got off "easy" and I loved every minute of it. I just remember the long HOT summer!! LOL
